As a Chassis Controls Software Application Design and Release Engineer at Ford in Dearborn, MI, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced software for chassis control systems. These systems ensure vehicle stability, handling, and safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock braking (ABS), and adaptive suspension. This full-time position demands expertise in embedded software design, AUTOSAR integration, and release management. Your day-to-day impact will include:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in automotive embedded software development, preferably in chassis or powertrain domains.
Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems, AUTOSAR authoring tools, and Vector suite (CANoe, CANalyzer, DaVinci). Strong knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS), communication protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet), and model-based design workflows.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, experience with agile methodologies, and a valid US work authorization. Familiarity with MISRA C guidelines and cybersecurity standards like ISO/SAE 21434 is a plus.
