Job Description
-Works with business partners to define procurement strategies for given categories of spend based on market analysis and demand forecasting.
-Develops category plans, strategic sourcing of goods and services, manages supplier performance, and facilitates joint process improvements with suppliers to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Note: Category Management is a strategic approach to procurement, where the oversight of Chevron's spend is segmented into areas of similar/related products and services (categories).
-Supports clients/customers and assists with functional projects under regular supervision. Has a general knowledge of the work group.
