Meet the Team

The Portfolio Account Executive (AE) in the Telco segment drives strategic account growth by creating and sustaining customer value. This role involves orchestrating account planning and opportunity execution, securing renewals, and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes. The AE works closely with internal teams and partners to deliver Cisco solutions tailored to telco customers’ priorities and challenges. This role is critical in helping telco customers optimize and transform their infrastructure, simplify operations, and drive innovation with Cisco’s networking and service provider solutions.

Your Impact

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan for Value / Unified Account Plan: Anchor the team in an outside-in view of the customer, focusing on their priorities, challenges, and context. Manage opportunity triage and lead qualification to ensure customer value is front and center.

  • Land Phase: Manage opportunities from prospect to closure. Position solutions with adoption in mind, building momentum through iterative qualification and focus on customer value.

  • Adopt Phase: Match customer priorities to Cisco solutions by translating needs into actionable plans. Track onboarding progress, ensure adoption goals are clear, and serve as an escalation point to ensure smooth customer adoption and handoffs.

  • Expand Phase: Identify and triage expansion leads, translate them into business intent and value, and validate expansion strategies. Shape solution direction relevant to customer needs.

  • Renew Phase: Ensure post-sales motions align with customer desired outcomes. Track progress, remove obstacles, reinforce value, and collaborate with the One Cisco Team to close renewals on time.

Additional Expectations:

  • Achieve assigned quota targets for the designated telco portfolio.

  • Maintain pipeline excellence and accurate forecasting.

  • Understand the Korea Telco Sales business.

  • Collaborate effectively with Solutions Engineers, partners, and internal teams.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive insights.

  • Utilize Cisco’s Tech Stack and AI tools to scale and optimize customer engagement.

  • Occasionally travel for critical customer and partner engagements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • +10 years of Korea Telco Sales experience.

  • Ability to understand customer needs and develop attractive offerings.

  • Data-driven decision-making and sales forecasting capabilities.

  • Experience working in complex sales environments with multiple teams.

  • Korean language fluency (persuasive communication).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical understanding of Networking, Compute, Security.

  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.

  • Deep understanding of Cisco’s portfolio and telco industry challenges.

  • English communication.
