Your Impact

As a Customs Country of Origin / Free Trade Agreements Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Cisco’s products comply with complex country of origin (COO) regulations and take full advantage of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). You’ll help drive Cisco’s participation in the Made in India (MII) manufacturing initiative, providing critical expertise and guidance to teams across the company. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of global trade, manufacturing, and innovation—making a measurable difference for Cisco and its customers.
* Analyze and review manufacturing processes to determine if products meet country of origin requirements, focusing on substantial transformation criteria.
* Assess and document compliance with local and international COO rules and regulations.
* Evaluate and verify product eligibility under the Made in India (MII) program, ensuring compliance with government requirements.
* Interpret and apply rules of origin and qualification criteria for multiple FTAs, including regional and bilateral agreements.
* Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and regulatory teams to gather and validate production and sourcing information.
* Maintain current knowledge of changing customs regulations, FTA requirements, MII criteria, and trade compliance standards.
* Prepare and submit accurate reports and supporting documents for customs audits and inquiries.
* Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on COO, FTA, and MII qualification processes.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in customs compliance, trade compliance, or country of origin determination.
* Proven knowledge of substantial transformation rules and their practical application.
* Direct experience with the Made in India (MII) program and its qualification requirements.
* Demonstrated experience qualifying products under multiple Free Trade Agreements (e.g., India-ASEAN FTA).

Preferred Qualifications

* Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
* Ability to interpret and explain complex regulatory requirements to diverse audiences.
* Experience training or mentoring teams on trade compliance topics.
* Adaptability to evolving regulatory and business environments.
