Meet the Team

The Platform Identity team builds the secure foundation that enables millions of users to access the Splunk and Cisco ecosystem seamlessly and safely. Our mission is to deliver a centralized Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform that is scalable, resilient, and intelligent. Your Impact

As a Junior Software Engineer on the Platform Identity team, you will contribute to designing, building, and improving identity services that support authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management across Splunk and Cisco products. You will work closely with senior engineers to implement secure and scalable features, maintain existing components, and learn best practices in distributed systems. • Basic understanding of authentication or authorization concepts (SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0 are a plus, but not mandatory).

  • Fundamental programming skills in C++ and/or Go (university coursework or project experience acceptable).

  • Understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, networking basics).

  • Eagerness to learn secure, distributed systems and identity technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts or coursework.

  • Familiarity with cloud services or IAM concepts (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) at a basic level.

  • Knowledge of directory services (LDAP or Active Directory) or willingness to learn.

  • Participation in open-source projects, coding competitions, or personal technical projects.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
