Job Description

  The capacity and capex management engineer will collaborate with engineering team, cost and financial team on new product capacity ramp up, execution flawless, lead the optimizations and drive the cost reductions. To expedite time to market and revenue ramp of high-speed optical transceiver modules.

 

Key Essential Functions:

  • Lead new product test capacity fast ramp up in early production phase

  • Turn Capacity plan to Capex plan, align with Finance on execution

  • Capacity plan (detail equipment plan) to executable action plan with owners and schedules

  • Weekly capacity dashboard review and gap analysis & coordinate with multiple teams

  • Capacity risk and Mitigation plans

  • Capacity progress Update

  • Coordinate to pull in Lead time and schedules

  • Capital investment ROI Analysis: NPV analysis for capacity ramp up

  • Capacity Improvement: Drive Capex saving projects: Cycle time reduction, test time reduction, etc.

  • Process optimization to improve equipment flexibility, include process removal.

  • Lead introduction for low cost, short lead time equipment

   

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electric Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant major.

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting optics products test or process.

  • Experience with project management, cost management and capacity managements, good at either one of these areas

  • Good excel skills and capability to present the progress

  • Structure thinking

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

 

 

Additional Considerations:

  • Some travel is required
