Join our Team to deliver high-confidence, automation-driven quality across frontend, full-stack, and backend systems for Cisco Cloud Control and C3-UAI—Cisco’s next-generation AI-powered, cloud-native platforms. As a senior individual contributor, you will design and implement test automation that validates user experiences, APIs, and distributed services at scale.

You will work closely with Frontend, Full-Stack, Backend, Platform, AI/ML, and SRE teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Your Impact

As a Senior QE Automation Engineer, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks covering UI, API, and backend services.

• Validate frontend and full-stack features built using React, TypeScript, and microfrontend architectures.

• Implement UI and integration tests for user workflows, routing, and client-server interactions.

• Own API and contract testing for services consumed by frontend and full-stack applications.

• Validate end-to-end user journeys spanning UI → API → event-driven backend → data stores.

• Test Kafka-based workflows, ensuring correctness across producers, consumers, and retries.

• Perform database validation for multi-tenant PostgreSQL schemas.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, enforcing quality gates.

• Validate authentication, authorization, and tenant isolation across UI and backend layers.

• Actively participate in design and code reviews, providing a quality-focused perspective.

• Debug failures across UI, service, and data layers with minimal guidance.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in QE, SDET, or Automation Engineering roles.

• Strong programming skills in Python (3.11+) and/or Go.

• Hands-on experience testing frontend and full-stack applications.

• Experience with UI automation (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).

• Strong background in API testing and contract validation.

• Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Kafka or event-driven architectures.

• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Solid understanding of database testing (PostgreSQL preferred).

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing microfrontend architectures (Module Federation).

• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling.

• Exposure to AI/ML-backed user experiences.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes environments.

• Knowledge of security testing and OAuth-based flows.

• Interest in mentoring junior engineers and improving QE practices.
