About This Role

As a Cybersecurity Presales Engineer on Cisco's SMB team, you will partner with Account Executives to plan sales strategies, engage clients, and demonstrate cybersecurity solutions that protect their businesses. The role focuses on translating complex technology into approachable terms for diverse audiences while building trust and driving sales success. What You'll Do

  • Partner with Account Executives to strategize on territory, account, and opportunity planning
  • Engage directly with prospective clients to build trusting relationships
  • Understand client needs and demonstrate Cisco cybersecurity solutions
  • Translate complex technical topics into approachable language for diverse audiences
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics to win customer business
  • Support SMB customers in securing their people, data, and reputations

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communicating, storytelling, and translating sophisticated technology to varying technical expertise levels
  • Desire to win and be part of a successful sales team
  • 1-3 years in a technical, customer-facing role such as solutions engineer, consultant, or customer success engineer
  • Proven understanding of cybersecurity solutions, terminology, markets, and customer needs
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, presales, cybersecurity or equivalent experience

  • Detailed understanding of cybersecurity and networking technologies
  • Validated experience in presales, SMB-focused roles, or similar customer-facing positions
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+
  • Multilingual capabilities and English proficiency
