The Clinical Data Management Manager position at Gilead Sciences in Uxbridge, United Kingdom, is a hands-on leadership role within Kite's clinical development programs, focusing on cell therapy. Responsibilities include providing CDM expertise for data coordination, collection, and cleaning; executing end-to-end activities like eCRF development, data review, and study lock; developing and managing timelines; overseeing external data management tasks such as Data Transfer Plans; anticipating and resolving obstacles; managing CDM documents for eTMF filing; ensuring data completeness and accuracy; handling query management and metric reports; coordinating database snapshots for reviews; participating in audits and inspections; contributing to SOP development; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
To succeed as Clinical Data Management Manager, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, or a related field, with at least 5-7 years of progressive experience in clinical data management, preferably in biopharma or cell therapy. Proven leadership in managing CDM teams and vendors is essential, along with deep knowledge of CDM processes, tools like EDC systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH-GCP, FDA/EMA guidelines). Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize under pressure, and excellent cross-functional communication are critical. Experience with eTMF systems, data standards (CDISC), and audit participation is highly desirable.
