The Cloud Professional Services Manager (also known as Field Engineering Manager) at Canonical leads a team of cloud solutions architects who design, deploy, and hand over sophisticated open source solutions to customers. This home-based, worldwide role focuses on managing engineers in your time zone, ensuring high-quality delivery of projects involving Ubuntu, private clouds like OpenStack and MicroCloud, Kubernetes, and advanced platforms for ML Ops and data processing. You'll balance hands-on technical contributions with strategic leadership, participating in presales to drive quarterly goals while fostering team excellence in a fully remote environment.
Your team works across the full spectrum of cloud offerings: on-premise solutions like OpenStack, MicroCloud, and Ceph; hybrid deployments with Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark, and PostgreSQL; and public cloud integrations on AWS, GCP, and Azure. As manager, you'll guide deployments, testing, and transitions to Canonical's support teams, all while evangelizing open source reliability.
