Job Summary

As a CNC Machinist at Masco Canada's Saint Thomas facility, you'll operate, program, and maintain advanced CNC equipment to meet production goals. This onsite role demands expertise in Swiss CNC lathes (Citizen, Hanwha, Miyano, Hardinge) and leadership in training operators. Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives like 5S and autonomous maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and train CNC operators in setup, troubleshooting, and fault correction.
• Program and edit CNC programs on various controllers, specializing in Swiss-style machines.
• Troubleshoot tooling, equipment issues, and perform necessary repairs.
• Read and interpret production blueprints; use gauging for quality standards.
• Maintain production documentation, optimize cycle times, and report issues.
• Participate in health & safety protocols, including OHSA compliance and lockout/tagout.
• Conduct daily autonomous maintenance and uphold 5S standards.

Skills & Qualifications

To succeed, you need hands-on experience with CNC machining processes like grinding, turning, drilling, milling, and heat treating. Required:

• Programming capability for Citizen, Hanwha, Miyano, and Hardinge CNC lathes (Fanuc preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, blueprint reading, and precision measurement skills.
• Familiarity with JDE system and quality inspection requirements.
• Education: O.S.S.D or equivalent, Certificate of Qualification (Machinist 429A), Certificate of Apprenticeship. Red Seal license is an asset.
