About the role

As an AS400 Technical Lead, you will make an impact by leading the development and delivery of AS400-based solutions in a hybrid onsite-offshore model. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with offshore developers, client technical leads, and project managers to ensure high-quality project execution.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate with offshore teams to clarify requirements and ensure successful project delivery
  • Review and approve key project artifacts such as design documents, test plans, and test results
  • Collaborate with onsite client stakeholders and internal managers on development activities
  • Support QA teams by resolving queries and validating deployments
  • Assist with regression testing and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle

Work model: Remote

  • Proven experience working in AS400 environments, including RPGLE, RPG, CLLE, Synon, RxClaim, and COBOL
  • Strong understanding of onsite-offshore delivery models
  • Experience in reviewing and validating technical documentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Prior experience in healthcare or pharmacy systems (RxClaim)
  • Familiarity with deployment validation and regression testing processes
  • Experience working in a client-facing technical lead role
  • Ability to mentor offshore teams and ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Exposure to legacy modernization projects involving AS400 systems

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until December 15th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 and $134,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
