About the role
As an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will make an impact by architecting and automating scalable cloud solutions, streamline delivery pipelines, and support modern application platforms built on Microsoft technologies.
In this role, you will
Design and implement Azure-based infrastructure using best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for repeatable, version-controlled deployments.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Instances (ACI).
Collaborate with development teams to integrate Microsoft stack technologies (.NET, SQL Server, IIS) into cloud-native environments.
Monitor and optimize cloud resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
What you need to succeed (Required skills)
5+ years of experience of experience with Azure Cloud services (VMs, App Services, Functions, Networking, Storage).
Strong proficiency in Terraform for IaC and module development
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline automation.
Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and AKS.
Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server)
Have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
What will help you stand out (preferred skills)
Experience with Azure Bicep, ARM templates, or Pulumi.
Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into pipelines.
Exposure to microservices architecture and service mesh (e.g., Istio).
Understanding of cloud cost optimization and governance policies

Working Arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office in Alpharetta, GA. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $112,500- 132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
