Cognizant is seeking a Data Center/Lab Support Tech for a full-time onsite opportunity in Fulton, MD. The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $59,500 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applicants must have valid US work authorization.

Responsibilities include:

· Equipment Moves, Installation and Setup

· Troubleshooting and Break Fix Tasks

· Decommissioning and Disposal

· Maintenance and Repairs

· Monitoring and Reporting

· Inventory Asset Management

· Emergency Response

· Lab Cleanliness and Safety

· Basic Testbed Support

Qualifications:

· Intra and Inter lab equipment and rack moves, should be capable of using manual fork lift

· Cable management, including running, organizing, topology clean-up, and labelling network cables

· Troubleshooting and Break Fix Tasks

· Conduct basic diagnostics to identify hardware issues.

· Install and configure hardware components such as servers, routers, and switches

· Installation and upgrade of IOS, OS (Windows / Linux), VMware ESXi.

· Help to replicate or build configurations based on customer requirement.

· Installation and networking of Managed Power Distribution Unites mPDUs.

· Network debugging, tracking layer 1 to 3 issues.

· Router, Switch, installation and Upgrade experience

· Rack & Stack, PDU installation experience.

· Should have experience in labelling inventory tracking for components and devices inside Datacentre.

· Should follow all SOP, policy and procedure documents and contribute to enhance them.
