Job summary

We are seeking a GeoSpatial Lead Java professional with 10 to 14 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Database and SQL Kafka Amazon Web Services Microservices Spring Boot and Java 8. This role requires working from the office during day shifts with no travel required. The candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining geospatial applications that drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality geospatial applications using Java 8 and Spring Boot to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement microservices architecture that enhances system scalability and performance.
• Utilize Amazon Web Services to deploy and manage cloud-based solutions ensuring reliability and security of applications.
• Implement and manage Kafka for real-time data streaming ensuring efficient data processing and integration.
• Oversee database design and optimization using SQL to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operation of applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Lead efforts to improve application performance and user experience through innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations maintaining the highest level of data security.
• Stay updated with the latest technology trends and incorporate them into the development process to maintain a competitive edge.
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies within the team to enhance productivity and project delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong background in Java 8 and Spring Boot with proven experience in developing scalable applications.
• Demonstrate expertise in database management and SQL with the ability to optimize complex queries.
• Have hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services including deployment and management of cloud solutions.
• Show proficiency in Kafka for real-time data streaming and integration.
• Exhibit a deep understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation.
• Display excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
