Job Description

About the role

As a Mapping Data Technician, you will make an impact by ensuring the highest quality and accuracy in mapping operations, including base map edits, shape drawing, and GIS-related tasks. You will be a valued member of the mapping and data team, working collaboratively with project managers, GIS analysts, and other stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

Edit mapping imagery and data with exceptional quality and accuracy.

Apply research and discernment skills to deliver top-quality map edits.

Use mapping tools and knowledge to continually improve map accuracy.

Analyze map data and make decisions based on policy to complete workflows.

Enter key mapping metadata and other information with high accuracy.

Contribute to in-depth failure analysis to determine root causes of problems or incorrect edits.

Proactively identify and raise systemic problems with tools or processes.

Support project documentation, workflows, scripts, and dashboards.

Collect data and provide domain expertise for post-project reports or deep-dives.

What you need to have to be considered

Knowledge of English language at least at B2 level.

Basic understanding of GIS and mapping tools.

Ability to complete map edits, data maintenance tasks, and analysis of basic mapping edits and issues.

A positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward partners at all times.

Ability to troubleshoot problems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail.

Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

Very good analytical skills.
