About the role

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Angular Lead Developer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level applications using Angular, Typescript, JavaScript and GraphQL. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions and ensure the highest standards of software quality.

Work model:

We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an Hybrid position open to qualified applicants in the United States.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Lead the design, development, and deployment of Angular-based applications.

· Architect reusable component libraries and micro front-end modules.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI, backend, QA, and DevOps.

· Integrate Angular applications with GraphQL endpoints and RESTful services.

· Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.

· Optimize application performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.

· Drive CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.

· Stay current with Angular ecosystem updates and emerging frontend technologies

Required Qualifications:

· 8+ years of experience in frontend development, with 3+ years in Angular (v8+ to v16).

· Strong proficiency in TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, HTML5, SCSS, and JavaScript ES6+.

· Hands-on experience with GraphQL integration, schema design, and Apollo Client.

· Experience with unit testing (Jasmine, Karma) and end-to-end testing (Cypress, Protractor).

· Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

· Exposure to Agile methodologies, JIRA, and Git-based workflows.

· Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards, i18n, and responsive design.

· Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
