About the role

Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Lead Java Full Stack Dev (Python -Angular or React & GCP) Hybrid with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications.

Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Dearborn, MI. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

Work Authorization: **Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future**

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Product Manager and Product Owner to translate Business Value needs the WHAT into User Stories the HOW for delivery by Software Engineers Proficient in both frontend user interface and backend server side logic databases development
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for communication between different parts of the application
• Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases designing schemas and writing efficient queries
• Analyze complex problems, identify bottlenecks and develop effective solutions
• Act as a consultant to the business vs an order taker Work closely with Architect and Software Engineers to architect the solutions to the business need
• Define best practices and standards working with other Technical Anchors for the Product as well as COE Operations for the tools used Python Java Angular react git GCP etc
• Abide by all Information Security Policies Balance doing it right with speed to delivery by identifying and mitigating risk generating options educating business and other decision makers and taking on justified technical debt
• Lead by example in use of paired programming for cross training upskilling problem solving and speed to delivery Position

Qualifications

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science or similar technical discipline
• Candidates should have overall 8 years of Progressive responsibilities in IT with Development experience along with 2 years as Lead.
• 5 Years of experience with Machine Learning technologies
• Should have strong experience on Python, Angular/React , GCP, AI/ML
• Leading Developers Strong desire to learn new skills and apply to solve business problems opportunities
• Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision-making Ability to collaborate and communicate well with engineers’ designers and Business Partners
• Knowledge of coding best practices Experience applying agile practices to solution delivery

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337, to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
