Lead UI Developer – Hybrid
We are seeking Lead UI Developer with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in React Js SQL Azure , SQL Server and JavaScript.
What you need to have to be considered:
· Strong core front-end development skills in ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS
· Expertise in state management using Redux and Context API
· Proficiency with build tools such as Webpack and Babel
· Experience in testing frameworks like Jest and Mocha
· Solid understanding of version control systems (Git, GitHub)
· Ability to collaborate effectively using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Slack
In this role, you will:
· Develop and maintain robust software applications using React Js and JavaScript to enhance user experience and functionality
· Build reusable components and libraries using React, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
· Ensure code quality through unit testing (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and continuous integration
· Architect scalable and maintainable React applications, integrating with RESTful APIs and backend services.
· Evaluate and implement new tools and frameworks to improve development efficiency.
· Troubleshoot and debug complex UI issues and ensure smooth user experiences.
· Maintain and update technical documentation for future reference.
· Work closely with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to align technical solutions with user needs.
· Translate wireframes and mockups into responsive, high-quality interfaces.
· Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
· Stay updated with React ecosystem trends, including Next.js, TypeScript, and server-side rendering.
Work model:
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office (Santa Clara– CA). Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $97,000- $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
