Cognizant is seeking a Senior Postgre SQL DBA for a full-time opportunity in Toronto, ON.

In this role, you will:

• Lead administration, optimization, and troubleshooting of PostgreSQL databases at an expert level, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage and maintain MongoDB and MySQL environments, including backup, recovery, and security configurations.
• Oversee cloud database operations on GCP and AWS, ensuring compliance, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Jenkins and Ansible for automated deployments and configuration management.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior DBAs, and drive best practices for database governance and operational excellence.

What you will need to succeed (required skills):

• 10 years of experience with Postgre SQL Administration.
• 6 years of experience with Mongo DB Administration.
• 2 years of experience with MYSQL Administration.
• GCP and AWS Administration experience.
• 3 years of experience with IAC ( Jenkins & Ansible)
