About the role
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our team in Bridgewater, NJ. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade solutions using modern Java technologies and messaging systems.

In this role, you will:

· Design, develop, and deploy robust applications using Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot

· Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support scalable services

· Work with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, Active MQ, and Kafka

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

· Leverage strong SQL skills to work with databases like SQL Server and Oracle

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring in-person presence several days a week in a client or Cognizant office located in Bridgewater, NJ. What you need to have to be considered

· Strong hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development

· Proficiency in messaging systems such as IBM MQ, Active MQ, and Kafka

· Solid experience working with relational databases including SQL Server and Oracle

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively

· Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade Java applications

· Experience in integrating complex messaging systems

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Passion for clean code and scalable architecture

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 to $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
