About the role

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer with Tosca, you will make an impact by driving automation testing strategies and leading a team to deliver high-quality solutions for web, mobile, API, and backend systems. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team, collaborating with developers, DevOps, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure robust and scalable testing practices.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable automated test frameworks and test cases.
  • Implement automated tests for web, mobile, API, and backend systems using tools like Tosca, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
  • Lead and mentor a team of automation and manual QA engineers, ensuring timely delivery of testing milestones.
  • Define and drive automation testing strategy aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for test plans, test cases, and test results.

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software testing with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
  • Strong expertise in Tosca automation tool.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git), defect tracking tools (JIRA), and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
