About the role

As a Senior QA: Core Java with Automation testing, you will play a key role in building and maintaining robust automation frameworks that improve testing efficiency and ensure quality across enterprise applications. Your expertise in Selenium with Java for UI Automation and Rest Assured for API Automation will be critical to delivering scalable and reliable solutions. Experience with Playwright is a plus, adding flexibility to our automation strategy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, mentor team members, and drive automation excellence.

In this role, you will:

· Candidate should be able to lead the team and mentor team members

· Should be able to handle the Release activities

· Collaborating with Product Owners, developers and stakeholders

· Debugging and executing the Automation scripts.

· Estimating Testing efforts

· Define Test Strategy and Test Plan

Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Fort Mill, SC

What you need to have to be considered

· 8 + years of QA experience with agile practices.

· Expertise in Writing, Enhancing and Executing automated scripts for test cases using Selenium and Playwright.

· Experience with Playwright is plus.

· Experience in Selenium and Rest assured framework.

· Experience Customization of automation frameworks using Keyword Driven, Hybrid.

· Hands on experience in Java and Type Scripting.

· Expertise in developing and executing manual test scenarios and test cases.

· Good Experience in Unit Test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG and build tool like Maven.

· Experience in version control tool like GitHub.

· Good Communication Skill.

This will help you stand out

· Good to have Playwright experience

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
