Job Description

About the role

As a Sr. Azure Data Engineer, you will make an impact by driving end-to-end data integration and migration initiatives across enterprise data platforms. You will be a valued member of our Data Engineering & Analytics team and work collaboratively with product owners, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead planning, analysis, development, testing, and migration activities for data warehousing and cloud-based projects.

  • Design and orchestrate data architecture and workflows, ensuring seamless data movement from source systems to reporting layers.

  • Implement ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter and optimize performance across Teradata, Azure Synapse, and SQL Server environments.

  • Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for cloud migration and event-based data orchestration.

  • Ensure data quality and integrity through advanced validation, deduplication, and business rule logic.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing and ETL development.

  • Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, Teradata, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.

  • Proven experience leading teams and managing end-to-end data migration projects.

  • Proficiency in Unix/Shell scripting and performance tuning for large-scale data systems.

  • Excellent analytical and programming skills with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.


These will help you stand out

  • Experience with Informatica Data Integration Hub and Data Quality tools.

  • Knowledge of campaign and consumer data integration from platforms like Janrain, Eloqua, and SFDC.

  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as QlikView and integration with marketing platforms.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable cloud-based data solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until December 07, 2025

The annual salary for this position is between $ 100,000 - $ 120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
