About the role
As a Sr. Manager - Advisory, you will make an impact by leading and managing consulting teams to deliver high-value solutions for clients. You will be a valued member of the Advisory team and work collaboratively with project managers, consulting teams, and clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and direct a small-to-medium team of consultants through client engagement, analysis, business case development, and the development of focused and contextual solutions.
  • Align functional industry expertise to consulting engagement requirements.
  • Manage escalations and balance responsiveness to clients with good use of resources.
  • Ensure the appropriate alignment of team activities to priorities, and the efficient application of time and resources to common goals.
  • Monitor and address team capability or experience gaps to ensure responsiveness to engagement opportunities.
  • When needed, actively participate in client workshops, support business analysis interviews, and the development of compelling business cases.
  • Monitor and supervise the daily activities of project staff, including consulting and non-consulting team members.
    Lead communications with project stakeholders, including status reporting, priority setting, and timely issue resolution.
  • Review project deliverables from the perspective of QA, and actively seek out stakeholder feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in project post-mortems to extract lessons learned and to identify potential intellectual property for repurposing.
  • Ensure client validation and documentation of project success as the basis both for enduring client relationships and repeat business.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office. What you must have to be considered

  • 2+ years of Digital technology (business or technical consultative) team lead experience, and client management responsibilities
  • 6-8 years of consulting experience as an industry practitioner within a relevant vertical industry
  • Project management and people management experience

  • Masters or MBA degree
  • Experience in strategy divisions within Provider, PBM, Payer, and Life Sciences
  • Experience collaborating with, and reporting to, CxO executives
  • Experience in Big 4 management firms
  • 5+ years as a Digital technology (business or technical consultative) team lead
  • Experience coordinating workstreams in multi-team projects using an onsite / offshore model

Compensation
$130,000 - $160,000

This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
