Job Description

About the role
As a Test Lead – DuckCreek and P&C Insurance Underwriting, you will make an impact by leading end-to-end testing for underwriting platforms such as DuckCreek, Guidewire, or similar systems. You will be a valued member of the Insurance Technology Delivery team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure high-quality delivery.

In this role, you will:
• Own and drive testing for DuckCreek, Guidewire, or other P&C underwriting applications.
• Lead and mentor teams across onsite and offshore locations.
• Manage all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including planning, execution, and reporting.
• Define and implement test automation strategies and frameworks.
• Act as the primary point of contact for testing-related activities and stakeholder communication.

Work model
This is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week onsite at our client location in Charlotte, NC. We strive to provide flexibility wherever possible and support a healthy work-life balance through our wellbeing programs.

What you need to have to be considered
• Strong understanding of P&C Insurance Underwriting processes and workflows.
• Over 10+ years of experience in software testing, including 8+ years specializing in testing for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Underwriting systems.
• Hands-on experience with DuckCreek, Guidewire, or similar platforms (Policy, Billing, Claims modules preferred).
• Experience in platform migration and upgrade projects.
• Expertise in test automation strategy, framework design, and execution.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Selenium, Playwright) and CI/CD integration.
• Proven ability to lead teams in onsite-offshore delivery models.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
