Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage one or more projects end-to-end, regardless of size or complexity (e.g., supporting major Ethereum releases and hardforks like the Pectra upgrade, researching technical changes, optimizing local DB performance)
- Accountable for high-quality product launches and smooth project landings using experience-based judgment and proven technologies
- Partner with Product to influence quarterly and long-term roadmaps through various technical proposals
- Learn about Coinbase paved roads and support best devops/infra practices to improve operation efficiency for validator fleet
- Drive operational excellence work around uptime, security, and yield for your protocol
- Work with internal protocol specialists and external protocol developer community to understand Ethereum network nuances and upcoming changes (e.g., governance proposals, upgrades, breaking changes)
- Participate in on-call rotation for all protocols that Coinbase supports, while being a go-to person for Ethereum
- Help onboard and coach junior engineers
