Job Description

DUTIES: Contribute to a team responsible for building software systems and providing production support for applications; build SOAP and REST based web services using Java and J2EE; use Git and SVN for source code and version maintenance; deploy and monitor applications using Cloud Foundry; build scalable software systems using Couchbase NoSQL database; manage production logs and dashboards using ELK; build CI/CD pipelines using GoCD; support software development using Oracle database, including SQL, PL/SQL, DML, and DDL; monitor and alert production applications using AppDynamics; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; and work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience building SOAP or REST based web services using Java and J2EE; using Git and SVN for source code and version maintenance; deploying and monitoring applications using Cloud Foundry; building scalable software systems using Couchbase NoSQL database; managing production logs and dashboards using ELK; building CI/CD pipelines using GoCD; of which one (1) year includes supporting software development using Oracle database, including SQL, PL/SQL, DML, and DDL; and monitoring and alerting production applications using AppDynamics.
