Job Summary

Responsible for developing and administering the Company’s employee relations programs and strategies, with particular focus on Human Resources investigations and Background Check compliance. Investigates escalated employee relations matters submitted to the company’s ethics hotline and other communication reporting channels. Provides compliance support for the Company’s pre-employment background check, Motor Vehicle Record monitoring, and alternative dispute resolution programs. Counsels and advises business leaders and Human Resources team regarding escalated employee issues. Reviews employee communications with an HR compliance lens.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversees and conducts internal investigations of employee relations concerns, including complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other work-related concerns;
  • Provides guidance for investigators on investigation strategy and recommended outcomes;
  • Utilizes case management system to ensure proper management and oversight of investigations;
  • Provides and manages periodic investigation reporting to relevant senior stakeholders;
  • Designs and conducts employee trainings, including investigation and policy trainings;
  • Collaborates with Comcast’s Legal Compliance and Security groups to coordinate investigative functions;
  • Facilitates employment claims through Comcast’s alternative dispute resolution program;
  • Evaluates and processes background check waiver requests, ensuring compliance with company policy and legal standards;
  • Serves as the primary compliance resource for escalated cases involving candidates with pending pre-employment background checks;
  • Partners with the labor relations and employee engagement teams to develop positive and proactive employee initiatives as needed;
  • Reviews employee communications, including those related to compensation, performance management, Employee Resource Groups, and other communications, with an employee relations and HR compliance lens. 
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
