Role Overview

Join Datadog as a Commercial Account Executive (Iberia) and drive business growth across Spain, Portugal, and Latin markets from our Amsterdam or Dublin offices. As part of our high-performing Commercial Sales team, you'll strategically engage small to midsize enterprises, closing net-new customers who need world-class cloud monitoring and observability solutions. Datadog's platform helps engineering teams break down silos, monitor infrastructure, and accelerate digital transformation in the cloud age.

Our AEs follow proven sales methodologies like MEDDIC, collaborate cross-functionally, and master our full technology stack including APM, log management, and synthetic monitoring. Key Responsibilities at Datadog

  • Net-new logo acquisition: Execute outbound prospecting targeting Iberia SMBs adopting cloud-native architectures
  • Full sales cycle management: Handle everything from discovery calls to contract negotiation and customer onboarding
  • Technical demonstrations: Showcase Datadog's real-time dashboards, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities to technical buyers
  • Pipeline collaboration: Partner with SDRs to generate and qualify top-of-funnel opportunities

Qualifications & Requirements

We're seeking driven sales professionals who thrive in fast-paced, technical environments. Successful candidates demonstrate:

  • 3+ years B2B SaaS sales experience with proven quota attainment
  • Experience selling technical solutions to engineering and IT decision-makers
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and observability challenges
  • Proficiency in CRM systems like Salesforce and sales methodologies (MEDDIC preferred)
  • Creative prospecting skills and resilience in competitive markets
  • Strong presentation abilities for C-level and technical audiences
  • Fluency in English and Spanish/Portuguese highly preferred for Iberia focus
