Job Description

Director, Product Operations at Confluent

We’re not just building better tech. We’re rewriting how data moves and what the world can do with it. With Confluent, data doesn’t sit still. Our platform puts information in motion, streaming in near real-time so companies can react faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences as dynamic as the world around them.

It takes a certain kind of person to join this team. Those who ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and show up for each other. No egos, no solo acts. Just smart, curious humans pushing toward something bigger, together.

One Confluent. One Team. One Data Streaming Platform.

About the Role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimizing product development? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy building scalable systems? Confluent is seeking a Director of Product Operations to be the Chief Architect of our Product ecosystem. Reporting to our Chief Product Officer, you will treat our internal processes, rhythms, and rituals as a high-value product, with our Product Managers as your primary "customers." Your mission is to design a frictionless, scalable environment where PMs can dedicate their energy to understanding customers and defining strategy, rather than navigating ambiguity. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants to leave a lasting mark.

A Day in the Life of a Director, Product Operations at Confluent

Imagine starting your day by reviewing feedback from Product Managers on the latest iteration of the Product Development Lifecycle. You analyze the data, identify areas for improvement, and prioritize enhancements for the next sprint. Next, you meet with the CPO to align on strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans for the product organization. You then lead a workshop with cross-functional stakeholders to define the 'Gold Standard' for product artifacts and team rituals. Later in the afternoon, you mentor a member of your Product Operations team, helping them develop their skills in process design and change management. Finally, you conclude your day by preparing executive communications for an upcoming company All-Hands meeting.

Why Remote at Confluent?

Confluent embraces remote work, recognizing that talent exists everywhere. By offering a remote work environment, we attract a diverse pool of candidates and empower our employees to work where they are most productive.
