About the Role

As a Product Designer II on the Platform team at Confluent, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our core platform. This team focuses on high-impact, horizontal product areas, including Kafka, Trust & Security, Cloud Platform, Networking, Monetization, Observability, UI Platform, Navigation, and AI Assistant. Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer / UX Designer working on web-based products, ideally in B2B or SaaS. (experience)
  • Demonstrated experience designing data-heavy or analytical interfaces, including thoughtful use of charts, tables, and information hierarchy. (experience)
  • Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to ship features from discovery through implementation and iteration. (experience)
  • Comfort using and extending a design system, and working with shared patterns across multiple surfaces or product areas. (experience)
  • A portfolio that clearly explains your design process, problem framing, options explored, and the impact of your work. (experience)
