About the Role

As part of our rapid growth, we’re looking to expand our leadership team. The Regional Sales Director will help lead, develop and grow Confluent’s Telco Sales team. Successful candidates will drive a high-performance, high accountability culture to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.

A Day in the Life of a Regional Sales Director

Each day as a Regional Sales Director at Confluent is dynamic and focused on driving sales success within the Telco sector. Here’s a glimpse of what your day might look like:

  • Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Your day starts with reviewing sales performance data from the previous day and week. You'll analyze key metrics, such as pipeline generation, deal closure rates, and revenue attainment, to identify trends and potential areas for improvement. You’ll then engage in 1:1 meetings with your Account Executives.   • Afternoon (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM): The afternoon is often dedicated to strategic planning and execution. You'll collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales Enablement teams to refine sales processes, improve training programs, and ensure that your team has the resources they need to succeed. Participate in sales calls and presentations with Account Executives, providing guidance and support as needed. You'll also work on forecasting future sales performance and developing strategies to achieve quarterly and annual targets. Time will also be dedicated to recruiting and interviewing potential candidates for open Account Executive positions.
  • Evening (5:00 PM - onwards): You might wrap up the day by reviewing and responding to emails, preparing for upcoming meetings, and staying up-to-date on industry trends. You may also participate in networking events or industry conferences to build relationships with potential clients and partners.
