Our platform puts information in motion, streaming in near real-time so companies can react faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences as dynamic as the world around them.

It takes a certain kind of person to join this team. Those who ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and show up for each other. No egos, no solo acts. Just smart, curious humans pushing toward something bigger, together.

One Confluent. One Team. One Data Streaming Platform.

Role Overview

As the Senior PLG Strategy & Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind our Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping our acquisition, activation, and high-value customer growth strategies. You will operate as an internal strategy and operations owner, interacting with executive leadership and influencing cross-functional teams. Your focus will extend beyond analytics and reporting; you will define growth strategies, structure complex problems, align initiatives, and ensure execution translates into measurable business outcomes.

You'll partner with leaders across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales, having regular access to senior decision-making forums. This role also includes a significant responsibility in PLG executive communications, where you'll synthesize insights, progress, and tradeoffs into clear, executive-ready narratives, aligning PLG initiatives with broader company priorities.

The ideal candidate is comfortable getting hands-on with data, writing SQL queries, building structured models in spreadsheets, and developing executive-ready slide materials. You will be accountable for ensuring analyses are delivered with rigor and speed, whether by executing them directly or partnering with data science and analytics teams.

A Day in the Life

Your day will be a mix of strategic planning, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You might start the day by reviewing PLG performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement. This could involve writing SQL queries to extract relevant data, building models in spreadsheets to analyze trends, and preparing insights for the leadership team.

Next, you might attend a meeting with the Product team to discuss roadmap priorities based on growth insights and customer behavior. You'll present your analysis and recommendations, influencing the prioritization of features that drive PLG. Following this, you could work with the Marketing team to shape go-to-market strategy and campaign focus, ensuring alignment with PLG objectives.

Throughout the day, you'll also be preparing executive-level presentations and reports, synthesizing complex information into clear and concise narratives. You will also be a key point of contact for various stakeholders, providing support and guidance on PLG-related matters.
