Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Process Technology or related field preferred. (experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in oil and gas production operations, specifically with condensate stabilization facilities. (experience)
  • Thorough understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and OSHA regulations. (experience)
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting oil stabilizer trains, chemical and transfer pumps, compressors, vapor recovery units, fuel-fired reboilers, and LACT units. (experience)
  • Experience with condensate and NGL loading and unloading procedures, including sampling and testing (e.g., Reid vapor pressure). (experience)
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift, including occasional overtime during facility turnarounds, upsets, or periods of high workload. (experience)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic maintenance tasks. (experience)
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, I&E, and third-party partners. (experience)
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. (experience)
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions. (experience)
  • Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems is a plus. (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor condensate stabilization facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operation in compliance with ConocoPhillips HSE, OSHA, and PSM regulations.
  • Perform routine inspections of equipment and systems, identifying and reporting any maintenance needs or potential safety hazards.
  • Adjust process parameters to optimize production and minimize costs, while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Load and unload condensate and NGL trucks, adhering to strict safety protocols and documentation procedures.
  • Conduct Reid vapor pressure tests and other quality control analyses on condensate samples, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Operate and maintain oil stabilizer trains, chemical and transfer pumps, compressors, vapor recovery units, fuel-fired reboilers, and LACT units.
  • Collaborate with Operations and I&E teams to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and optimize plant instrumentation controls.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all groups within Eagle Ford Operations and third-party truck hauling partners.
  • Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions, taking appropriate corrective actions to prevent incidents and minimize downtime.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs to enhance knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures on equipment prior to maintenance activities.
  • Participate in hazard analysis and risk assessment activities.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of operating procedures.
