  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems maintenance and reliability, preferably in the oil and gas industry. (experience)
  • Extensive knowledge of instrumentation and control systems principles, practices, and technologies. (experience)
  • Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Safety Critical Elements (SCE). (experience)
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to instrumentation and control equipment. (experience)
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and processes. (experience)
  • Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles and methodologies. (experience)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. (experience)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. (experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others. (experience)
  • Experience with PLC and SCADA systems is highly desirable. (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Production Operations and Maintenance teams for troubleshooting instrumentation and control equipment issues.
  • Offer technical clarifications and support risk ranking of maintenance notifications.
  • Coach and mentor Maintenance and Production Operations teams on instrumentation and control aspects of their work.
  • Review Safety Instrumented System (SIS) and Safety Critical Element (SCE) critical function test results and develop action plans as needed.
  • Actively participate in Maintenance Change Request processes for ongoing maintenance and reliability program refinement.
  • Participate in the Maintenance Deferment Process to improve maintenance execution compliance.
  • Conduct audits of maintenance and preservation activities related to instrumentation and control equipment and spare parts.
  • Monitor and manage costs associated with the Instrumentation and Controls Maintenance and Reliability Program as part of the overall APLNG (Australia Pacific LNG) maintenance and reliability budget.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies for instrumentation and control systems to optimize equipment reliability and availability.
  • Lead or participate in Defect Elimination (DE) investigations to identify and address root causes of equipment failures.
  • Perform root cause analysis of instrumentation and control system failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and ConocoPhillips policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to instrumentation and control systems, including maintenance procedures, schematics, and drawings.
  • Participate in hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and other safety reviews related to instrumentation and control systems.
