Role Overview

The Consultant, Transportation (LTL/Truckload) position is a hybrid role based at our Cardinal Place office in Dublin, Ohio, with regular travel to Groveport, Ohio, and occasional trips to Indianapolis, Indiana. This role focuses on managing final mile shipments, resolving logistics challenges, and driving process improvements to enhance service, cost efficiency, and operational optimization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Transportation Consultant, your day-to-day impact will include:

  • Resolving problems related to flow, carriers, fleet, and customer issues to maintain delivery standards.
  • Overseeing on-time performance for departures and deliveries, minimizing disruptions.
  • Handling financial components such as asset utilization and shipment cube optimization to support budget accountability.
  • Supporting root cause identification, execution of resolutions, and customer implementations or disengagements.
  • Delivering process improvements that drive efficiency and identify savings opportunities.
  • Providing Tier 1 support to Logistics Service Providers for day-to-day issue resolution.
  • Conducting field hub and driver audits to ensure compliance with delivery standards.
  • Coordinating daily and weekly carrier performance reviews to uphold service quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for data analysis and reporting.

  • Experience with parcel, LTL, and truckload transportation modes (preferred).
