Position Summary
Join Sonoco's prestigious Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) as a Consumer Technology Associate. This full-time, rotational program blends hands-on experiences with structured training to build your leadership skills, technical expertise, business acumen, and deep understanding of Sonoco’s culture. Gain insights into your leadership style while contributing to high-impact projects across our innovative business units. Open to recent graduates passionate about manufacturing and ready to relocate for future leadership roles like Plant Manager, Director of Finance, or Supply Chain Leader.
Key Responsibilities
As an ELP Associate, you’ll engage in core objectives including technical skills training in safety, quality, scheduling, and customer satisfaction; leadership development in supervisory skills, performance management, and mentorship; business insights on accountability, execution, risk-taking, and budgeting; and culture integration through communication, collaboration, and innovation. Expect tailored assignments in Consumer Technology/R&D or other units, with flexibility for rotating or late shifts.
Required Qualifications
We seek driven candidates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, or Business (graduating by December 2021 or May 2022), previous internship experience (ideally in manufacturing), proven leadership, technical aptitude, strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and a desire to thrive in a manufacturing environment. Must be open to relocation and flexible on location preferences.
