We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Application Owner (m/f/diverse) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and designing IT applications / modules for (Tire) Requirements and Product Lifecycle Solutions at Continental Tires, which collect and manage product and process requirements as well as development activities, and then integrate the outcomes into further systems in the system landscape.

As an IT Application Owner you are the interface between the business departments and the IT application. You analyze requirements and develop solution concepts together with the key users, which you implement in a cross-functional team. With your deep technical and business know-how you help finding user-oriented and simultaneously efficient solutions. With your project management emphasis, you provide direction and support to the project team, ensuring progress and timely delivery.

Your tasks would be:

  • Leading IT projects to extend the system with new functionalities;
  • Specification of user stories, process flows, and solution concepts;
  • Configuration of data models, interfaces, and automatizations directly in the system;
  • Steering of implementation teams and software providers;
  • Ensuring software quality;
  • Managing incidents and change requests;
  • Support and training of key-users.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science or related subject area;
  • Proven experience in IT application management or a similar role;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Advanced understanding of software engineering principles;
  • Strong focus on software quality;
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools;
  • Excellent communication and moderation skills;
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
