Description

The Production Supervisor at our Auburn facility plays a critical leadership role in overseeing daily operations within the production area. This position is responsible for driving performance across safety, quality, productivity, and delivery metrics, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, capable of motivating teams, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment
  • Ensure associates have the tools and training needed to work safely
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for safety incidents
  • Lead daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with ESH policies and legal requirements
  • Assign and supervise labor to meet production goals
  • Communicate plant policies and procedures effectively
  • Ensure team members receive proper training, including safety, job certification, and quality alerts
  • Drive process improvements to increase productivity 
  • Maintain accurate documentation including time & attendance, payroll, overtime, training records, and process audits
  • Attend daily shift hand off meetings
  • Responsible for entering work orders
  • Ensure production meets quality standards and delivery targets
  • Support Lean initiatives and participate in Continental Business System (CBS) activities to reduce variation and eliminate waste
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Department Manager

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or 2 years experience required
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting
  • Relocation is available for Continental employees only

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing supervision experience, preferably in a union environment
  • Flexible to work any shift

Environment:

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes 
  • The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise
