Role Overview

As a Corporate Sales Engineer in Tokyo, Japan, you'll provide high-touch technical sales support for CrowdStrike's innovative cybersecurity solutions. This full-time role involves collaborating with corporate sales teams and partners to technically qualify opportunities, conduct Proof of Value (POV) evaluations, and drive revenue growth. You'll be at the forefront of cybersecurity, helping Japanese enterprises combat cyber threats using the Falcon platform. With a focus on networking, security technologies, and customer partnerships, you'll build lasting relationships and exceed quarterly targets in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with corporate sales teams and partners on high-touch pre-sales technical activities.
  • Technically qualify opportunities and lead POV evaluations with end-users and partners.
  • Create detailed Security Assessment Reports for end-users following POV evaluations.
  • Drive end-user acceptance and buy-in to convert POVs into revenue.
  • Train distributors and partners on successful POV deployments and Security Assessment Reports.
  • Train regional distributor/partner Sales Engineers and staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between partners/customers and corporate headquarters for technical issues.
  • Work with sales teams to achieve and exceed quarterly revenue targets.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market developments in the region.
  • Support regional marketing activities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you need proven experience in IT security sales or pre-sales. Key qualifications include:

  • 3+ years in IT-related sales, pre-sales, support, design, or build experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, proposal creation, presentation, and customer negotiation skills (internal SE experience acceptable).
  • Excellent technical knowledge in networking (OSI model, IPv4/6, routing, switching, DNS, VLANs) and security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, email security, SOC operations).
  • Proficiency in threat intelligence, troubleshooting, and IT process automation.
  • English language skills for global collaboration.
  • Soft skills: Competitive yet collaborative, charismatic, quick-witted, persistent, coachable, self-disciplined, and self-aware.
