Responsibilities
- Bagging groceries and merchandise for customers
- Transferring items from the checkout counter to carts
- Retrieving shopping carts from parking lot and store interior
- Restocking bagging supplies
- Cleaning checkout areas and surrounding areas
- Assisting customers with their purchases
- Providing excellent customer service
- Answering customer questions
- Directing customers to appropriate locations in the store
- Assisting cashiers with various tasks
- Following safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Reporting any issues or problems to supervisors
- Assisting with inventory management
- Unloading merchandise from trucks
- Stocking shelves
- Rotating stock
- Removing damaged or expired products
- Operating equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if trained)
- Adhering to company policies and procedures
- Working as part of a team
- Maintaining a positive attitude
- Being punctual and reliable
- Following instructions from supervisors
- Providing assistance to other departments as needed
