Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels in the warehouse, on the sales floor, and in receiving areas.
- Compare physical inventory counts with inventory records to identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing data and conducting thorough research.
- Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Communicate audit results to management and relevant departments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory control.
- Perform cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Assist in the planning and execution of physical inventory counts.
- Identify and report damaged or obsolete inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve inventory management processes.
- Participate in training programs to enhance inventory auditing skills.
- Operate inventory management systems and software.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory items.
- Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in the receiving and shipping of inventory.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Reconcile inventory data with vendor invoices and purchase orders.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives related to inventory control.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide support to other team members as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in inventory management.
- Utilize WMS (Warehouse Management System) to track and manage inventory
- Implement and maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures
