- Conduct physical counts of merchandise on the sales floor, in the steel, and in the receiving areas.
- Verify inventory accuracy by comparing physical counts to system records.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, such as overages, shortages, and damages.
- Document and report inventory discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory adjustments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Perform cycle counts and spot checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and patterns.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Assist in the receiving and stocking of merchandise.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts.
