Responsibilities
- Conduct physical inventory counts and audits
- Verify accuracy of inventory records
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies
- Correct inventory errors and adjust records
- Prepare inventory reports
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and patterns
- Assist with cycle counting process
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances
- Communicate with warehouse staff regarding inventory issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software
- Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures
- Assist with the development and implementation of inventory control policies
- Participate in inventory audits
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages or overages
- Recommend improvements to inventory control processes
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control procedures
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (if certified)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety procedures
- Report any safety hazards to management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate inventory data
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes
- Conduct regular inventory checks
- Document all inventory discrepancies and resolutions
- Provide support to other warehouse staff as needed
