Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (experience)
  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (experience)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field desirable (experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, auditing, or related field (experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must (experience)
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred (experience)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (experience)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy (experience)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (experience)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (experience)
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices (experience)
  • Familiarity with auditing standards and procedures (experience)
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds (experience)
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (experience)

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of inventory levels in the warehouse and on the sales floor
  • Compare physical counts to system records and investigate discrepancies
  • Identify and document inventory variances
  • Determine root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
  • Prepare inventory reports and summaries
  • Communicate inventory issues to management
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory problems
  • Participate in cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts or overstocks
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures
  • Train employees on inventory control procedures
  • Perform data entry and analysis related to inventory
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to inventory
  • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Provide support to other team members as needed
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy
