Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations to assess patient needs.
- Counsel patients on hearing loss and available treatment options.
- Recommend and fit appropriate hearing aids based on individual needs.
- Program and adjust hearing aids to optimize performance.
- Provide ongoing support and counseling to patients on hearing aid use and maintenance.
- Take ear impressions for custom hearing aid molds.
- Order and maintain inventory of hearing aids and supplies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest hearing aid technology and trends.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and ethical standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build strong patient relationships.
- Troubleshoot hearing aid issues and provide repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Educate patients on the importance of hearing protection and preventative care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Process payments and handle insurance claims.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in marketing and outreach activities to promote hearing services.
- Adhere to Costco's policies and procedures.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
- Perform cerumen management as needed and allowed by state law
- Clean and inspect hearing aids
- Conduct Real Ear Measurements to verify fittings
- Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction
