Required Qualifications

  • Valid Washington State Hearing Aid Dispenser License (experience)
  • High School Diploma or GED (experience)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Audiology or related field preferred (experience)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in hearing aid dispensing (experience)
  • Knowledge of different hearing aid manufacturers and technologies (experience)
  • Proficiency in performing audiometric testing (experience)
  • Ability to take accurate ear impressions (experience)
  • Strong understanding of hearing aid programming software (experience)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (experience)
  • Ability to counsel patients on hearing loss and hearing aid options (experience)
  • Experience with fitting and adjusting hearing aids (experience)
  • Knowledge of hearing aid repair and maintenance (experience)
  • Familiarity with assistive listening devices (experience)
  • Ability to maintain accurate patient records (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform audiometric testing to assess hearing loss
  • Counsel patients on hearing loss and hearing aid options
  • Take accurate ear impressions for custom hearing aids
  • Program and fit hearing aids to meet individual patient needs
  • Provide ongoing support and follow-up to patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Order and manage hearing aid inventory
  • Troubleshoot and repair hearing aids
  • Educate patients on the proper use and care of their hearing aids
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest hearing aid technology
  • Participate in continuing education activities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Process payments and insurance claims
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
  • Conduct outreach activities to promote hearing health
  • Assist with marketing and sales initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
