Responsibilities

  • Assisting members in selecting eyeglass frames and lenses based on their needs and preferences.
  • Interpreting prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists accurately.
  • Measuring pupillary distance and other relevant measurements for proper eyeglass fitting.
  • Fitting and adjusting eyeglasses to ensure proper comfort and vision correction.
  • Dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses to members.
  • Providing instructions to members on the proper care and use of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving member issues related to eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  • Processing orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses using computer systems.
  • Verifying insurance coverage and processing claims for members.
  • Maintaining accurate records of member orders and transactions.
  • Stocking and organizing eyeglass frames and lenses.
  • Cleaning and maintaining optical equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to all members.
  • Answering phones and responding to member inquiries.
  • Scheduling appointments for eye exams.
  • Assisting with inventory management.
  • Participating in training and development activities.
  • Keeping up-to-date on new products and technologies in the optical field.
  • Following all company policies and procedures.
  • Assisting other team members as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Ensuring member satisfaction.
  • Promoting Costco Wholesale's optical services.
  • Resolving member complaints in a professional and timely manner.
