Responsibilities
- Monitor store activity through CCTV and other surveillance methods
- Conduct regular walk-throughs of the store to identify potential security hazards
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential theft
- Respond to alarms and other security alerts
- Detain shoplifters according to company policy and legal guidelines
- Prepare incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Work closely with local law enforcement as needed
- Assist in the investigation of internal theft
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to loss prevention
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist with inventory control and audits
- Monitor employee activity to prevent internal theft
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers
- Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards
- Participate in safety training programs
- Provide first aid and CPR as needed
- Assist with emergency response procedures
- Communicate effectively with management and other employees
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Protect company assets from loss or damage
- Conduct interviews with employees involved in theft or policy violations
- Implement and maintain security systems
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Assist with training new employees on loss prevention procedures
